育芽教育联网缘起
一个偶然的机会，Bayarea Dragon 网站上讨论如何资助农村学童的帖子引起了几位心系中国贫困山区教育的硅谷朋友的兴趣。他们中间，有的人正在准备回国进行一次短期的旅行，灵机一动，为什么不借此机会跟访问贫困地区小学，从美国硅谷带去我们这些海外游子的关爱呢？有的朋友则是正在基于美国的教育义工团体服务，或是曾经有过支教或成立教育义工小组的经验。还有的则是一直在寻求帮助中国贫困山区教育的途径。共同的兴趣和目标把原本并不熟识的我们联系在了一起。我们该怎么为为支持中国贫困山区教育尽一份薄力呢？ 于是，育芽诞生了。
育芽教育联网的宗旨
北美的教育义工团体有不少，我们为什么还要成立育芽呢？我们并不是为了重复暨有的教育义工团体的工作。我们注意到有很多的朋友有支持中国贫困山区教育的心，却由于信息不够，没有找到奉献的途径。各教育团体由于资源的限制，在宣传上也有局限性。而各教育团体之间也缺乏足够的沟通，因而存在项目重复，资源运用不够有效的情况。育芽作为教育联网，是希望提供一个信息交流的平台，帮助大家更合理的运用资源，通过更适合自己的方式来帮助中国教育。大家带着大爱来加入这个团体，怀着美好的憧憬，扎根现实，脚踏实地，一起为实现中国教育腾飞的目标添砖加瓦。
育芽 is an educational group rooted in North America. Our main focus will be education for the needy in China, especially those who reside in rural areas. 育芽 will serve as a platform for individuals as well as other organizations to provide assistance and contribution to Chinese education. Presently it is a group dedicated to working with children and their families to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of illiteracy and poverty. |
