Anyone has suggestions on time and location to pick cherries?

It is my first time trying to pick cherries here in the bay area, so I have no idea where is the best place to host such fun activities Smile

Btw, the picture on the top is taken during a trip (4/23) to Half Moon Bay along hwy 1, seems the cherry season will be coming soon...hehe Smile

Thanks,

Li

These cherries are so juicy and delicious. I think we can search online where to pick them. It must be fun! Happy support

As reported, California cherries are the first stone fruit of the season, for a succulent snack that's high in potassium but low in calories. California is one of the top three cherry producing states, shipping over 750,000 18-pound boxes a week in June.

Hey guys,

I went cherry picking 2 year ago, in mid-June, not sure if 5/28 would be too early or just right.

We went to Brentwood, CA. There are a lot of farms in that area, should be a good choice.

If you are interested, check out the pics we took on our trip.

Sounds good! It's my first time for fruit picking. But my roommate has some experience and I will go to ask her.

hey there,

as it turns out, I have about 10-15 friends going. We will meet up at Rivermark plaza (Montague/Agnew), carpool and depart at 11am for Brentwood.

It'd be great if we can combine our two parties so we can all meet new friends. Let me know which ranch you guys will go to...

Jeekaz,

Thanks for sharing the info. The plan sounds interesting, we can certainly meet together to have more fun Smile

I am still thinking of the dates between the 5/28 date and the 6/4 date, since the 5/28 is in the memorial long weekend and many people may not be able to participate.

Anyway, just my thoughts. Both dates are fine with me.

Hi Li,

Any plan for the long weekend? It would be fine if we have some fun events at that time and pick cherry in the next weekend. Three days would be good for a short trip within driving distance, since the airplane ticket for that weekend is really hard to find

Hi Li,

most of my friends prefer 5/28 since we have no trip planned during the three day weekend (lack of interesting place to go Razz ).

Cherry season is from April-June, last time I went in mid-June, most of the cherries were gone already. so, we need go soon and grab before others.

If you guys do decide on 5/28, please let's hook up. I am very interested to meet some new friends.

thx,
